Membership & Participation
Core Membership
The Current Focus
Core members are the people who actively shape the Collective.
They:
- Participate consistently in seasonal work days and projects
- Contribute effort, care, and attention to shared work
- Help build and maintain foundational infrastructure (kilns, structures, work areas)
- Learn and share skills in the context of real projects
- Commit to the slower, seasonal rhythm of the work
This role is best suited to people who already feel drawn to this kind of gathering and workâthose who value depth, continuity, and shared responsibility.
Core membership is intentionally limited in size.
What Core Members Receive
Core membership offers:
- Ongoing participation in collective projects
- Access to shared tools, spaces, and materials as they develop
- Opportunities to deepen skills through repeated, real use
- A platform to contribute knowledge, skills, and experience
- A working community shaped by trust and familiarity
- Access and responsibility grow together. As members become more embedded in the work, their role naturally expands.
Expectations & Commitment
Core membership is not casual.
Members are expected to:
- Honor commitments they make to projects and work days
- Work carefully and responsibly with tools and materials
- Communicate clearly and directly
- Contribute to the maintenance of shared spaces
- Engage in a grounded, practical way with others
This is not a drop-in environment. The Collective functions because people take responsibility for the work and for one another.
